I have been reflecting on my life quite a bit of recent, particularly after my birthday a few weeks ago. I have also taken time to look around me, as people wake up and go about their daily activities. Some to school, work, evangelism and so on. One thing that strikes me is how busy we all are. Hardly having time to pause between all the things we “need” to get done.
It constantly dawns on me that it appears that we do not give enough time to what’s really important in our lives as Christians, “Quiet Time with God”. Our Christian faith and walk is not all about “doing” things for God, but about taking time out to “know” God. Jesus said “Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent” (John 17:3).
Why don’t you take out time to focus on what is really important: knowing God.
